The main purpose addressed the need for improved local pre-schools’ facilities in farmers’ communities by providing support such as school equipment, sanitation, as well as active learning play.
This support was intended to improve the scope and availability of essential pre-education for early childhood development in the areas where Aliet Green is working and to encourage specific local needs. For example, funds were used to provide table and chairs, water pipe and water tank, basin and improved toilets, as well as playing equipment.
Extending pre-school access to the poorest and most vulnerable children can boost their education and livelihood opportunities later in life. By supporting some pre-schools in the areas where Aliet Green is working can also evaluate the impact of early child-care and education programs on the cognitive and social-emotional development of children from poor circumstances.
